Other than the weather not being as photogenic as I had hoped it to be, things are good here. Koreans, well those that live and/or travel in Jeju, are so peaceful and at ease. It is the complete opposite of life in China, and for me it's a much needed break from the organized chaos that was life in Dalian. I do miss friends and students and football and the social scene of course, but I like it here and I don't miss the crowds and traffic in Dalian. Now all I need is some great weather so I can really get my photography off the ground!
Anyways, since the weather hasn't been up to par, I've still been out shooting every couple of days. Below are the best of my random shots from the past couple weeks. In other cool news, two of my recent photos have been Explored on Flickr. What is explore? Here's a definition I found from this website -
"Explore is Flickr's way of showcasing the most interesting photos within a given point in time -- usually over a 24 hour period.
Flickr receives about 6,000 uploads every minute -- That's about 8.6 million photos a day! From this huge group of images, the Flickr Interestingness algorithm chooses only 500 images to showcase for each 24-hour period. That's only one image in every 17,000!"
So, I've had four photos "explored" so far. I'll post them below. If you want to see 500 great photos everyday from the Flickr community I recommend going to this website, Fluidr, to view the shots. It's layout is much nicer and the photos can be viewed in a bigger size. I love looking at the photos, making some my favorites and commenting on various shots. I use Flickr to post my best of the best shots, or the photos I am most pleased with and the shots that I think others may like the most. You can see my Flickr photos to the right of this post.
Without further ado, below are my recent "bad weather" shots...soon I will be posting my best of shots from the Yeomiji Botanical Garden! That was a great day with a few stories...next time....as always CLICK on the photo to see the larger size and get the full effect of the image...
